The Town of Mountain View (TOMV) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the provision of Economic Development Consulting services to the TOMV on an as-needed basis. The TOMV seeks to diversify its sources of revenue through attracting new businesses, commercial zoning, and taxation changes.
The selected individual(s) or firm(s) will serve as a knowledge resource and provide creative solutions which help revitalize the Town’s commercial district. The qualified individual(s) or firm(s) will have specific expertise on topics including, but not limited to new business development, commercial zoning, tax revenue strategy, revitalization/beautification programs, and merchant outreach, as required. The selected consultant will create and present an economic development plan for the TOMV under the supervision of the Mayor. Additional interaction with the rest of the Mountain View Town Council and the Town’s planner will be required.
