Town of Mountain View Administrative Assistant

The Town of Mountain View is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the Clerk’s Office at Town Hall. This position provides administrative support to the Town Clerk/Treasurer and others as designated by the Town Clerk, and will assist with a variety of general office duties such as those listed below. An experienced, mature, and versatile individual is desired.

This position will include, but is not limited to, the following duties:

  • Cash Receipting
  • Process Building Permits
  • Web-site Maintenance
  • Supply Purchasing and Maintenance
  • File Maintenance (general office, electronic filing, records retention)

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • One-year general office experience, some municipality experience preferred
  • Knowledge of current technology skills such as Computer (Excel, Word), proof-reading/ scanning/emailing/copy & fax machine/postage meter

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk and hear, clearly, in person and on the telephone. Employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel or move objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust and focus.
