TOWN OF MOUNTAIN VIEW, COLORADO ELECTION RESULTS

BALLOT ISSUE 2A                         FAILED

SHALL THE TOWN OF MOUNTAIN VIEW TAXES BE INCREASED BY AN ESTIMATED FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND TWENTY-SIX CENTS ($4,378.26) ANNUALLY AND BY WHATEVER AMOUNTS AS MAY BE COLLECTED ANNUALLY THEREAFTER BY THE IMPOSITION OF A SHORT-TERM RENTAL TAX ON EACH LEASE OR RENTAL OF ANY DWELLING UNIT NOT ALREADY TAXED AS A HOTEL, MOTEL, OR OTHER PUBLIC ACCOMMODATION IN THE AMOUNT OF SEVEN AND ONE HALF PERCENT (7.5%), AND SHALL THE FULL PROCEEDS OF SUCH TAXES AT SUCH RATES AND ANY EARNINGS THEREON BE COLLECTED, RETAINED, AND SPENT, AS A VOTER APPROVED REVENUE CHANGE WITHOUT LIMITATION OR CONDITION, AND WITHOUT LIMITING THE COLLECTION, RETENTION, OR SPENDING OF ANY OTHER REVENUES OR FUNDS BY THE TOWN OF MOUNTAIN VIEW UNDER ARTICLE X SECTION 20 OF THE COLORADO CONSTITUTION OR ANY OTHER LAW?

Shall Section 5.3 of the Town of Mountain View Home Rule Charter be amended to allow for the compensation of the Mayor to be increased by the Town Council during his or her term of office as follows:

The Town Council shall set the salary of the Mayor, and the ordinance setting the compensation shall not necessitate the approval of the Mayor to take effect. The ordinance setting the compensation shall not take effect until the next regular Town Election?

Shall Article V of the Town of Mountain View Home Rule Charter be amended by the addition of a new Section 5.6 entitled “Term Limits” as follows:

No person shall be elected to the position of Mayor for more than three (3) four-year terms of office. This term limit shall apply beginning with the regular election held on November 5, 2019.  The term of any person appointed to the position of Mayor to fill a vacancy for less than 365 days shall not be considered part of a term for purposes of this section?
