TRASH COLLECTION INFORMATION
Trash pick-up days continue to be weekly with recycling picked up every other week. Trash and recycling will be picked up from the alleys. Alpine Waste & Recycling is the Town’s trash provider. Their website is: www.alpinewaste.com
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your trash pick-up, please call the Town of Mountain View at 303-421-7282. Leave your name, address, phone number and the nature of your concern. The Town will contact the trash provider to resolve the situation. All billing inquiries should come through the Town hall.

Resolution No 2019-12-16A imposed a small increase in the collection of trash fees for residential users for 2020.
Senior citizen discounts are for owner-occupied single dwelling homes only. You must be 62 years of age or older and willing to provide proof of age (such as a driver’s license or CO ID) to qualify for senior rates such proof of age would be for the Town’s records and kept confidential. If you are already being billed as a senior, it is not necessary to make another request.
DUMPSTERS CANNOT SIT IN THE ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY. PROPERTIES WITH 4 OR MORE UNITS ARE REQUIRED TO USE DUMPSTERS.
Resolution No. 2016-01-11A set the street lighting fee at zero dollars ($0.00) and has been in effect since January 11, 2016.
Resolution No. 2018-11-14B reduces the administrative charge related to sewer treatment to zero dollars ($0.00) for 2020 and providing that sewer service residential customers who pay the full year of fees in advance shall receive a quarter (25%) credit towards residential trash service fees. By paying the 4 quarters in one payment in January by the first quarter billing due date you will realize the savings.
Full year payment must be made by the first quarter billing due date in order to take advantage of the trash service credit.
A late fee of $20.00 per quarter will be charged if payment is not received by the due date. In addition, accounts with an unpaid balance as of October 25th will be assessed a $100.00 lien fee and the total amount due will be submitted to Jefferson County in the form of a lien against the property. The property owner will also be charged a ten percent (10%) collection fee by Jefferson County.
A $35.00 fee will be charged for a returned check.
