Town of Mountain View Storm Drainage Work and Traffic Notice
Dear Mountain View Business Owners and Residents:
The Town will be using DES Pipeline Maintenance to do some much-needed cleaning and video recording of our storm water drainage system between Fenton Street and Sheridan Boulevard next week.
Starting on Monday November 2-and running until Friday November 6, as necessary—the east bound lanes of 44th Ave. will be closed between approximately 9 am and 3:30 pm each day. East and westbound traffic will be redirected to the north side of the street.
While access will still be available to and from each business from each of the north/south streets (Ames, Benton, Chase, Depew, Eaton, and Fenton), 44th Avenue driveway and alley access into and out of each business will be closed during these times.
The contractor’s traffic control personnel will start setting cones up around 9:00 am each day next week: They’ll take them down after 3:00 pm, so the afternoon rush hour will be minimally affected.
During the week, DES will also be cleaning and video recording the storm drainage line(s) which start at the northeast corner of Ames St. and 43rd Ave.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this notice. And thank you for your patience during this time.
Gene Bird, Public Works Director
