Town Council Vacancy Announcement

March 25, 2021

Dear Mountain View Residents:

As some of you may know, one of our council members has decided to move out of the state of Colorado. If you have been a resident of the Town for at least one year, have energy and ideas to improve our Town, and are a U.S. citizen, our Mountain View Town Council has a vacancy.

Among other things, the Town Council debates and sets budgetary, zoning, development, infrastructure and public safety policy for the Town (We’re currently working on all of these issues through a remote meeting format necessitated by the pandemic.) Council also plans fun community and civic events.

This position is to fill a term which expires in November 2023. The time commitment can range from 10-to 20 hours per month. While no one should serve on the council for the money, we recognize that people are busy, so this position currently offers a monthly stipend of $400.00.

To apply for a position, please complete the council application (click here). Completed applications can be emailed to and or dropped into the black mail drop at the front of the Mountain View Town Hall, located 4176 Benton Street. Being appointed to the Town Council involves completing an application and a remote interview process with the Town Council. To be considered, applications must be received by 5 pm on April 9th, 2021. Please email Mayor Glenn Levy with any questions at

Thank you,

-Glenn Levy, Mayor, Town of Mountain View, Colorado
